it's probably real... remember, that was the era when prototype cars were being made with polyglass bubbles and such... I'd heard some stories about them, but never saw one.... little excessive when you see the price.....

in the description it says that they were for the dealership display models. this way people could see the car and the engine.
i could see that price if the hood was mint, but they way it is? probably $750-1000 for an olds collector.
