Both are good choices. You don't need the extra lift with stock heads, but the added duration of these grinds helps.

Ok thank you. How much power does a cam add usually? Heard they help alot on the 5.3

Some have reported 100hp gains, but usually those reports have other parts in the equation. I have a pretty healthy cam in my 5.3 that's almost ready to start. However, the Tick Stage 1 boost cam I have is too big for stock springs, soooo I went down the rabbit hole! I had my 862 heads inspected and BTR .660 springs installed, did the trunnion upgrade, good pushrod, etc.

Those Summit cams do come in spring kit combos. I have their .600 dual springs for my .60x/.60x 226/230 Comp Cams (barf) cam going into my 4.8L, and the Summit trunion bushing kit for the stock rockers, generic LS7 lifters, and some 11/32" pushrods from FED.

That reminds me... I should start cleaning that engine up for surgery this Winter.
