Sleepers with correct engines....chevy w/chevy...olds w/olds...buick w/buick etc ...should be a good contest.

Or a olds with Chevy.....as long as its factory? I wouldn't be in it, I have a chev 350. But for those with factory chev its cool, correct?

I actually don't care for that idea, just because of the mix they came with from the factory. If this was for older a-bodies, I could understand it.

I say we go for engine bays.

I agree that its not exactly in line with the original built cars, but I think we all would agree that GM shoulda put the correct motors in the correct cars, even if they didnt.

It may seem odd but I don't look at it that way. Maybe it has something to do with growing up in the age of corporate engines, or because i'm a Chevy guy, I don't feel dissapoited with GM's decision on the corporate engine, I honestly don't know.
But then on the other side of it, anything from the mid to slightly late 70's and back, I would rather see the correct make of engine in the car, aside from say an LSx swap.
Maybe i'm just odd like that. 😀

I guess I'm odd too!
and I'm lovin the idea of nicest engine bay...

No...not odd...you said it correctly when you said its what you grew up with. I cant speak for others on here, but Id be willing to bet that the ones who are my age and older are the ones most likely to say that chevy engines belong in chevy cars and such. Like you said, after the mid 70's everything changed and the divisions of GM became just names rather than different makes with different engines and designs. When I was a kid, I could tell what kind of car was coming up the road at night just by looking at the headlight/parking light configurations or by the tailights. Sadly, those days are long gone....
