Who is the supplier for the GM licensed weatherstripping that you mentioned, and do they also manufacture window channel, etc?
From what I understand, the window that's available today comes in lengths that you more or less have to put together and fit yourself, unlike the factory molded pieces.

Trim Parts is the company I referred to with the detail regarding license and etc. Don't know about the cat whiskers and run channel but I'm all ears. ...

I used the Metro brand on my wagon.
It was easy to install, but the drivers door folds over funny @ the corner. It leaks driving in the rain.
I have had others tell me the same thing happened to them at the same place on the door.
My outside window sweep pieces were less than perfect, but much better then the split/broken pieces that they replaced.

I think most of the aftermarket door seals are a pain for a few days. I had to really slam the doors to get them to fully latch. After a few days they will compress and you won't notice any issues.

The information was right there staring me in the face.. 😳 :|

I was told years ago that Metro was the original supplier for GM weatherstripping in vehicles. That said I installed the Metro seals on the rear doors, the key is to use the proper adhesive and then go around the top of the door and verify the seals seated right, Instructions state to leave the doors closed for several days to allow for the seals to set up to open. I did have issue with the LH door, but straightened the seal out and reclosed and seal conformed as required. No leaks todate. Dixie Malibu had the fifth door seal years ago and was like original. I have not found a seals for the rear door to glass to date. Good Luck.

Hi Andrew,
I'm yet to get new door seals, etc. The top of the tailgate seal is not reproduced and has not been available for many years.
Fortunately, I got one from the junkyard many years ago from a clean wreck. With that seal, all I can suggest is find somewhat usable one. Clean it well and treat it with a good rubber/ vinyl protector.

Dixie used to carry NOS OEM body seal around the tailgate and hatch glass. I think they got about $100. for that at the time.

Thanks for posting the information and your experience using Metro door seals.

Right on, Dixie is where I got my rear seal at.
