Who has the best prices on Outside window sweeps for the wagon? Was just looking at a few places and none listed the Wagon Sweeps. Whats up with dat? Hopefully one of you guys did yours and know of a good priced vendor.

I bought a set (outers) from http://www.ecparts.net

Good price, nice folks to deal with, only downside is you have to call them to order. They did deliver quickly though.

They have outers only for $89 or inners and outers for $150...both of which are a lot less than other places I've seen.

There was another vendor that used to carry them, but no longer lists them....wondering if maybe the manufacturer doesn't feel they're selling enough to make it worthwhile to continue.

I replaced the ones on my 4dr, bought from an aftermarket supplier, put them in my stock bin for when I was ready to use them (never really looked at them). When I went to install them, I noticed they were nothing (not even close) to like the originals, pissed was an understatement (couldn't return them due to the amount of time I had them). They were bad enough that they didn't fit the door (didn't even make contact with the window), nothing I could even modify to work, threw them away. Bought 4 GM strips made for a two door or elco (4dr ones were discontinued), trimmed them down to fit properly, they look decent, and still do 5 years later, but cost $$$. End rant, sorry, my point, check them over carefully as soon as you get them, make sure they'll work, so if not, you can get your money back, hopefully they make better ones now.

Thanks for bringing that to our attention. I have heard of guys using the 2-dr strips and cutting them to fit a wagon or 4-dr. I think that was when 4-dr strips weren't available at that time.
Years ago, I took 4 from a clean wagon. Ended up using 1. So I'll end up buying one new one and use the 3 that I have.
Hopefully, I find a matching piece with the proper beading.

I guess the moral of the story is to check your parts after receiving them..

I have 4th gen F-body I got from a junk yard. I may use them. I was looking for something all black to match the blacked out window frames. The fit nice with a little effort.

Jim,
I'd like to see what the 4th generation F-body strips look like. I also plan to black-out the trim. Have you tried fitting them already? I'm open to alternatives. Thanks for the suggestion.
Hope you'll be getting back to work on your wagon soon.

I have one trimmed up already and fit for a front door. I would have to get home and put it on there and snap a picture. I'll try and get that soon, been working some late hours recently.

IMO, it looks way better than the stocker with the chrome bead on it.

I think I'd rather get pieces that are already blacked out than have to paint the bead black. If you say that they look better, I'm all for it. If you get time to snap a picture of it, that would be cool..if not that's okay.
