Thinking about adding this to my 350 and not sure if the lines can be shortened. I have the Super Vic intake with the rear cooling ports on it. Want to run hose to the ports, I believe this kit is setup to run to the temp sensor ports in the heads. And what I mean by shortened.....is can the fittings be reused? Not really familer with A&N fittings or hose, I have only used air brake hoses and fittings at work on big rigs. Thanks for any advice or help. http://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS+Performance+ ... 0/10002/-1

I always run rear cooling on my Chevy engines, I personally would by the spacer separately and make your own AN hoses to me anything preassembled usually does not fit right.
On my big block I ran the lines under my intake going to the spacer to keep the lines out of the way, on the sbc I recently did I had to go over the runners with the lines since it is a dual plane without an airgap.

For the hoses I use 8 AN, it is a relatively easy size to assemble.
I have found that on Ebay there are some suppliers the carry some pretty nice quality AN swivel hose ends at an inexpensive price, I have used them quite a few times and have had no issues, most of the fittings on my big block are Earls Swivel Seal with a nipple/cutter design but these have become extremely expensive lately.

Awesome thanks for the info man! I hope to clean up my engine bay with some braided hoses in the future.

I was looking at the AN hose on Summits website, It has a PTFE lined option so no not sure witch to order?

Great thanks for the info! Do I absolutely need the thermostat housing adapter? Can I use the existing ports to the left and right of the housing?

You can run rear cooling lines to your front ports on your intake if you want, I prefer to use the thermostat housing spacer so that the cooling lines return the water right under the thermostat and this also leave the ports on the intake available for a temp gauge sender and maybe a fan control or water pump thermo switch etc,
