Water Problems In Car 1982 Monte Carlo

On the firewall seams are two holes that were poorly sealed by the factory. To reseal them the hood and both front fenders have to be removed.
 
Either or both the heater box seal, or bad seam sealer on top of the cowl. As originally assembled, the lower windshield molding had black plastic attached to help cover the seam on the cowl. Over time, the plastic crumbles away and the sealer hardens and allows water penetration into the cabin.
Yea you was right the old seal started to crumble . I sprayed a little spray and seal and the problem was solved
