i think the airbags and heated/cooled seats w perferated leather are whats tipping the scale on the new vs. old thing

plus insulation rust protection coatings more electronics & other safety equipment etc. less steel but more of everything else.

I still have the original carpet also, its a bit heavy with the insulation padding, But when i got this car it was smaller & easier to push then my 71-73 darts, & they had sub frames, not full frames, I heard stories about 34-3500 lbs. & thought no way can this car be that heavy, maybe 32-3300 tops, so i was surprised at 305X for sure.
