Glad to finally see a few girls into Gbodies, 442 and GPs are my favorite two styles, not a big fan of Montes or Malibus but then again Ive never owned one.
Gray 87 442s are very uncommon, is it a Z49 Canadian export?
There were only 350 442s exported to canada in 87 and only 110 with Ttops. I own a black/gray 87 442 Canadian export with ttops and have only seen two others and they were both black.
Love to see a few photos, especially one of the gauges since Im trying to find the correct speedometer. Mine was replaced with an 85 mph unit and I have a 140km unit but there were several styles made throughout the years.

😛 I finally had some time and went through my car albums and found my original pics of my GP and the pics of when we took a good chunk apart before I took it into my buddy's body shop to paint. It looks like a stock car with missing pieces everywhere!! Lol I still had cutlass rims on it and winter tires from when I drove it year round! Plus my old 305 in it too!! And let me not forget the vinyl top!! Oh the good old days...hhehhehe....I'll be posting those up in the next couple days plus a few others I found. Stay tuned....I'll also post my newly improved cowl hood and spoiler once it's completed this week. Man I can't wait to finish it!!!

I've had some time to look at some of the other members pics of their cars on this forum!! Wow is all I have to say!!! SWEEEEEEET gbodies guys!!!! I lose track of time looking through the galleries and reading the different forums. I love being a part of this!! Good job on all your gbodies out there!!! It's so great to see so many great gbodies especially the GPs!! Don't see to many here in Edmonton! I'm also glad to be accepted so nicely into this group as being a chick. I must say I think I scare a few boys here once they know that this is my car and how much I love hot rods!! Some people, especially guys think it's cool meanwhile many others think it's weird. What...I like horsepower and a good looking car!! Lol

I can't wait for this weekend, gonna go to the Rocky Nationals Races that are coming to town!!! Gonna love the smell of rubber!!

Yes, it is a Z49 Canadian export I believe. I ordered up a History report from GM a while ago when I had first bought it. Yes, one of 352 sold in Canada to be exact. Originally sold in Calgary, AB, then made its way out to Ontario and then brought back to Edmonton. I am the 3rd owner of this vehicle, the 2nd owner only had it for maybe 2-3 years. Yeah, definitely very rare with the t-tops and the grey is the rarest of the color combos I believe, as far as I can tell. Any that I have rarely seen around are usually the black/burgundy/blue combos. Does anyone happen to have any specs on how many were actually made in each color combo? I've looked for that info but have never had any luck. I can definitely take a few pictures of my dash if you would like so you can see what it looks like.

I have posted a few pictures of my car (recent car show with my sister). I thought I had a few more pictures on the disk than just the three. I will be looking for more and posting them up during this week so you can all have a look.

Alright I admit, I added two of my Bronco too, its not a gbody but its one sweet truck and super rare around here too so I had to post it up. Its my daily driver, also known as Taz/Beast.

You guys all have some pretty sweet rides. Sure is nice to see all the gbodies. SWEET!! More pics to come. 🙂

Ok I have uploaded a whole bunch of pics up. They include more of my original GP and the GP before painting once I removed all the chromes. It did look like a stock car....no chromes, no grill, all blacked out....etc. I thought it looked kinda cool. Check out the rust!!! Ooooh aaaah.....hehehehe....alittle crusty under all that chrome.

I included a few more pics of my interior, engine, the sisters and displays I have...Hope you enjoy!!

welcome to the forum ladies. 8)

I ordered up the GM Canada info and they gave me a figure of 350, weird that they would give two different figures... they also included the T-top figure of 110. GM can only tell you how many of one RPO number, they cannot tell you how many were made with an exterior/interior color or how many black T-top cars there were. They only way they can tell you how many were exported to Canada was by tracing the Z49 RPO. I think that there being only 350 with that RPO they can go in further and actually count the number that had T-tops and color combos. I would call or write to GM Canada and see if they can investigate further. As for the others... well there were over 4000 to deal with and I don't think they will go that far... which brings up a question, how do they know there were only 400 WHITE 1985 442's produced??? They can only look up each RPO, i.e. W42. I was told that Judy Badgley from the Hurst Olds club is working on going through all of the 1983 Hurst Olds records to count how many cam with the Medium Sand Gray interior. There has been much debate around that... between 200 and 600, I know I own one of them 😀

My car is from Ontario, I'll have to see what dealership on my sheet.
It was produced on Feb 8th of 1987 I believe, they could be cousins since yours was produced on the 10th
Did you change your grilles to the chrome style from the solid black?
