Well This Is No Fun

I feel your pain Kevin. Been there, done that.
My stones were small enough to be flushed out with medication. I've been on Fentanyl for 3 days and to flush the stones I had to drink beer for these 3 days. Being the good patient I am, I did what I was told
I was completely wasted for 3 consecutive days
But the initial pain was a 12 out of 10, the first and only time in my life I threw up from pain.

I guess my 101 fever and wasted Saturday ain't sh*t! Hope all goes well for you. I'm going to take my sorry throat screaming headache cough and congestion outside and get some work done!

No such luck on the beer here Karsten, but your last bit there was pretty much my first couple of hours Friday morning.

They've done nothing yet....he is going to go "up" and blast it. Luckily the stone is not moving so no real pain at this time, just sitting here on IV and waiting.

Lithotripsy isnt an option ?
After my prostate surgery the surgeon (from Sloan Kettering) told me that I should never have a cystoscope, catheter or anything else inserted up there because if the guy doing it doesnt know what hes doing as far as scar tissue I could wind up incontinent for the rest of my life. Needless to say Ive taken his advice for the past 10 years. LOL
I really dread stones for that reason.

Been told by ER nurses that I now know what child birth is like. Went through 6 rounds of Lithotripsy and have had stents installed prior to 3 rounds. Was told "If kidney stones were diamonds......I'd be a rich man"
I feel for you brother and hope you recover fast!

Well I went in just after 7 PM...woke up in recovery about 8:30. They said everything went really well. Just went through a couple hours of vitals monitoring and get to spend one last night here.

Thanks again to everyone for the well wishes..it definitely helped keep my spirits up. Hopefully I'm home before noon tomorrow!
