What Car Do You Love to Hate?

I personally hate Hondas myself. I know they are a reliable car and all but that is all you see up here in upstate NY. There are a million of them around here. Everybody around here goes and buys these things, lowers them, puts cheap rims on them, a fart can and a cool air intake on them and think they have a fast car. I hate them the most but goddamn I love racing them. 😀

the real irony is that GM is kicking *ss in europe with the same drivetrains. the 2 biggest differences between GM us and GM europe seem to be 1)that the us cars are built by mexicans or unions, the euros by eastern europe. and 2) gm can sell small diesels there.
strange that the same engine can have so much more reliability in europe.

actually it's GM's innovation that kills them. people only remember the weird new system they don't understand or cars that had problems , even if they only existed for a few years.
one thing i've noticed while being a mechanic and a tow driver is that gm's almost never break down. they'll have problems but you can still drive them. honda's don't have as many problems but i'm always towing them.

Well, in my world, Nissan > Honda for the simple fact that Hondas require specialized transmission fluid and timing belt changes. They also have their own sealant ( Hondabond) and other things. Not a fan of Honda engines. The "Great" B series engines have poor quality internals and blocks as compared to a Nissan SR20DE or a Mitsubishi 4G63. It just takes too much money to make reliable power out of them as compared to the aforementioned Nissan and Mitsubishi engines. The Honda B18C can't go over 250hp reliably while the Nissan and Mitsubishi can see over 300hp-stock vs stock. I would even take a Nissan GA16DE( 1991-99 base Sentra 1.6L engine) over a Honda D16Z6 ( SOHC VTEC engine in Civic EX from 1992-95). Only a 10 hp difference, but the Nissans have seen 250whp on a stock bottom end-a level that would shoot parts out the block of a stock Honda D series. Honda Civics have a better chassis than a Sentra, but the engine leaves much to be desired.
