these are my march pulley setup, and chrome water neck, i have em on top of some cheap mr.gasket chrome valve covers that i'm not using...

and my polished powermaster 100 amp alternator with the march assemble up front..needs a lil polish....these are parts I had on the motor before that i'm reusing....i also have some Dynamax ceramic coat headers too

the nice thing about an orange engine is that if you have an oil leak, you can see it. the bad thing about an orange engine is that if you have an oil leak, you can see it.

when someone looks under your hood and sees an engine that's been painted orange with some chrome pretties on it, they know that the car belongs to someone who knows how to work on their own engine. they also know that the engine has been played with a little bit.
but if you're like me, and you don't really feel like detailing your engine, it's a pain.

when i put in my 350, i'll be painting it black with some black crinkle valve covers (thanks Dave) and an aluminum e-brock intake... as a matter of fact, i might even paint that too.

I'm also thinking of painting my engine black, and i second the crinkle look. I also hear black is a good color cause it dissipates the heat quicker.

see ive heard the opposite that the black holds the heat more than the orange.

Black absorbs heat in the sunlight. In an engine bay covered by the hood, black will dissipate heat much better than a lighter color. I think that is the reason that auto manufactuers started painting engines black and not different colors.

well when i bought my paint the guy at the auto parts store said he painted his black engine yellow and when he finished it was almost 20 degrees cooler

here is a current pic from today......<a href="http://s46.photobucket.com/albums/f117/853csb/?action=view&current=enginepaint2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f117/853csb/enginepaint2.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
