What color to paint my engine?

what kinda paint did you use?

thanks....and I'm letting my mechanic do the painting, i don't have an engine stand or i'd do it myself, cuz i'm picky, but so far so good, and he's still not finished building it....but i bought and took him some Dupli-color Chevy Orange paint for the block and he used some Krylon High Heat Paint for the heads...i was kinda iffy on the krylon, but i trust his decision on the paint to use, he does real good work...no half *ss'n

whole motor, fuel pump, motor mounts, wheels, lol ( 1 can was more than enough for what i needed)

you just shot clear over everything? am I understanding right? or you use the krylon paint and clear? and one can? that's alot of stuff, how many coats did you put on everything?

I used 4 cans of color on the block, water pump and harmonic balancer. then I cleared all that, cleared the water pump, intake, motor mounts, wheels, alternator, and some other stuff. um like 1-2 coats.not much, and come to think of it ive used 2 cans of clear, I had forgotten about the first one.
