One thing I should ad LOL.
I try to go to a lot of local cruise nights. Theres usually one going on just about every night within a 35 minute drive during the warm months. If theres a guy my age sitting in a lawn chair next to his car thats taking up 2 spaces and hes puffing away on a big fat cigar I wont even glance at his car while I walk past. Hes usually one of the deep pocket a-holes that doesnt even own a tool box. Am I being too harsh ?? LOL
When I had my 85 Monte SS for sale a guy came up to me at a local cruise night and went on to tell me my car was only worth 7 or 8K. This was a 2 owner car with super low miles. Every time I'd see him he'd make some stupid comment. One day he told me about a friend of his that was offered some crazy price for his original owner SS. About an hour later that car pulled into the parking lot. I took a look at the car since he was offered so much for it. Dash was cracked. Paint was scratched all over the place. Lots of miles. The hood insulation was hanging and the guy told me mice got into it. This was a high mile car that wasnt that clean. I walked over to the guy and asked him why he thought his friends car was worth thousands more than mine. His answer ? His friends car was black and that made it worth more than mine which was white. Needless to say that was the end of the conversation that night. Granted, my car wasnt a Barrett Jackson quality piece but it was pretty clean. To be honest I wish I still owned it. I sold it before I bought my wagon for $10K.
