What engine am i looking at in this 81 cutlass? Im new but but not so new i dont know im looking at something not o.g.

That is a small block Chevy.

Distributor in the back. Shape of the heads and location of the water neck...small block Chevy. Shape of the valve covers and the power steering bracket suggests a 1970s to 1985, two-piece rear main. Odds are...305 or 350. Look on the back of the block near the brake booster. Use a light to see if 305 or 350 is cast there.
