What engine to put into Pontiac GP T-Top?

I just was looking at your other thread . A chevy engine will not bolt up to that transmission. You will need a transmission the has a chevy bellhousing bolt pattern. They sell adopters to bolts BOP transmissions to chevy engines

I also noticed you have Pontiac engine mounts and frame mounts. You will need to find chevy engine mounts and frame mounts

dr, i was not aware that they were bolted? are they? or are they welded?

could you point them out for me ?
 
Here is a picture of Pontiac frame mounts. Notice the 3 bolts . They can be accessed by going through the lower control arm mounts using extension and swivel sockets

This picture is a chevy mount. Notice how much further they are positioned on the frame. The mounts are different from Pontiac to chevy

Other difference between the two engines are all the engine accessory brackets are different. Try to find a complete engine with all brackets included . The starters are on opposite side from Pontiac to chevy. The battery and some additional wiring will have to be moved
