What pistons are in it? That'll dictate the rpm ability. If you are using an old heavy TRW type piston that is a little harder on connecting rods. Otherwise an aftermarket lightweight piston and a 7/16 bolt connecting rod will go to 7500 without issue. My 565 had 4.6" bore pistons on Eagle rods with L-19 bolts. Shifted at 7500 and crossed at 7700. Made peak power at 7200. Big Blocks can RPM just fine contrary to internet belief. Even ones with 4.25" cranks.

It has icon forged fairly light piston I've had great luck with them ,man I got the new hookers and 3.5 exhaust on what a difference in power all the way around and how responsive it is ,have to step the jetting down slightly but huge difference
