What is This

Last night I took my trans pan down to get to see if something fall down the tube, but end up finding it under tire. I started the engine last night for the first, but while I was looking under car for leaks I found the part in the picture laying under the trans pan. I don't know if it came out of the trans (200r4) or off the engine, but I got a felling it came out of the trans. Can someone tell me what this part is and where it goes?

being that there's no traces of red fluid, I'm not convinced that it's out of the transmission.... looks almost like a freeze plug, but you'd have anti-freeze everywhere...


what kind of carrying case is that LT1 sitting in?

You might have a friend like me, I used to put a control arm nut under my buddy's car every once in a while just to watch him freak out a little

There was no fluid in the Trans. Also what do you mean by carrying case?

I was the only one out there and it was not on the ground when I first went under the car.

Its about the size of a dime.
