What kind of talk radio do you have, in your area?

I'm from Birmingham, AL, and live in Fort Polk, Lousiana currently. Back home, and down here, the only talk shows on the radio, are borderline extremist right-wing republican conservative shows, or christian (mostly southern baptist) shows.
I was just wondering if other parts of the country, have talk radio that isnt the same negative garbage (talking about the political shows, not the religious) we get to listen to everyday.
I'm envious of the bigger markets (and satellite radio) who get funny programs (like stern, etc), and good sports shows.

i listen to a local am talk/news/call in station..pretty middle of the road and covers current events, govt bs, crime..etc, the various hosts have their opinions but its pretty balanced overall

Whenever I visit the USA I am reminded how lucky we are in the UK to have BBC radio 4.
News without any political bias, all political parties are invited to comment on current events, and interesting and entertaining programmes as well.

Plus.......... NO COMMERCIALS!!!! 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀

well in the am here we have dwyer and Micheal.i wouldnt say its a talk show,it is classic rock station but alls they do is talk from 5 am to 10 am.they are funny and will keep you rolling, 97x is the station. i am from davenport iowa.

One middle of the road talk station that is the most popular, Two sports talk stations that are worth listing to. One that has all the worlds coming to an end, Everything sucks, The Govt. is out to get you, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh.

The rest are all religion or in Spanish. Phoenix radio is getting so bad. I think I am going to look into XM or Sirius just so I can listen to some music. 8)

I have Sirius, just to get away fro the talk radio. In NJ/PA, it is all RAP music, and talk radio. Even the one "rock" station and "country" station are 60% DJ yacking.

These guys on the talk radio like to hear their own voice. 😀

Anyway, the talk radio around here seems to suck too.
