Does the 1987 Cutlass 307 have adjustable timing, or is it one of those automatic doohickeys? If so, what degree does it specify? I've heard they're supposed to be 20 at degrees before TDC, but that seems way early. Suggestions?

The timing is 20 deg., but BTDC if I remember correctly. You can adjust it. I cleaned off the marks on the crankshaft pulley with degreaser and marked it with a white paint marker. Then you can use a timing light ($40 at AutoZone) to get it right where it needs to be.
