267 and 231s got TH350s
1980 was the first year for the lockup (in 49 state cars anyway), and it was operated without a computer via a series of thermostatic ported vacuum switches and an electric/vacuum switch on the inner portion of the left fender on Malibu/El Camino models.
HOWEVER...it was pretty common for TH200s to be replaced with TH350s when they failed, as there wasn't a lot of support for the TH200.
11 pan bolts...TH200
13 pan bolts without band adjuster ...TH350
13 pan bolts with band adjuster ...TH250
Very few people look for the band adjustment and almost everyone assumes they are TH350s
As a side note...every 83 305 I've seen (and owned) had TH250Cs...not TH350s
Go with a 200 or 700 you will love the over-drive.80ELCAMINOFLAKE said:WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK?

Check the length on that transmission. When I bought my 383 years back it came with a 350 transmission also, all out of a guys 70 Chevelle. The transmission ended up being a long tail 350, not sure if that's just what he used or if the old Chevelles had long tails stock, but just wanted to caution you.
