Depends on intended use....if it's just a driver, the TH250 will be fine. There isn't really any difference between it and a TH350 that would be the cause of poor performance. 250Cs were really designed for fuel economy improvement where high torque output wasn't an issue.

Would I use it if I were going to be looking for improved performance? No. BUT, I have driven TH250s for the last 4 years, and never had any issues with them behind the stock 305s they were mated to. Heck, I got 45K out of a TH200C rebuild that was a V6 trans behind an '88 truck 350...so obviously I don't lean on them very hard (although the failure was spectacular). A TH250 may not have bragging rights, but will get the job done if used as intended...of course, I'm not a big proponent of removing working parts just to have the popular choice.

Well I get everyones point of views, i guess i just went with this trans becuase a friend of mine was selling it on craigslist in my area...i dont know why he didnt hit me up first...lol...Just picked it up today and looks real good....

I guess I was just looking for a good price on N E THING!!!...it could of been a th200 a th350 a 700 trans, I just wanted a good working transmisson, just to get rid of my old one that neeed to be rebuilt, from paying $150 to paying $550 to get my old th250 rebuilt, i think im happy with the buy and saving $400 bucks!!!...


Thanks to all of you, hopefully i can get to my bro in laws shop tomorrow or saturday, put it on the lift and get it in and get my shifting on...lol

Hey guys, So I got the transmission installed at Lozadas transmissons in south gate,ca...down the block from my house,.for $100 service and adjusted!!!!, and man what a difference!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow is shift so much better and faster!!! i can so feel the difference and cant wait to get on the freeway, but street performance is like WOWOWOWOWOWOW!!!!!...im so blessed i got hooked up with this transmission...HOOKED UP!!!!!!!
