ok for starters, im not the sharpest tool in the fridge, but i do have some know-how...just not here. im trying to find out what the title says. so heres what i got:
the block is a sbc 307 w/ 3.875 bore and 3.25 stroke that was built in 1971. casting # 3970024.
the heads i got are 14014416 casting with 1.84/1.55 valves and 58 cc chambers.
i have some stamped 1.6:1 roller tip rockers.
stock cam and stock hydrolic lifters.
the stock pushrod length was 5/16 dia. and 7.800 length.
sooo, any good guestimates?

yeah, ive heard stock or +.100 but i wanna be sure. the thing is we got 12.9 inches of snow here in the last 36 hours and i dont wanna go fudge with my car till its all gone.

Pushrod lenght checker. Buy one or a few different sizes and check everything to be absolutely sure.

x2. You should check them but with pretty much all stock components, stock length should still be good. From what I know the +.100 is generally used when going to aftermarket heads. If the stock length isn't exactly right I still doubt you will have to change the lenght that much.

goddamn computer!

X2 on the length checker. never guess on the valvetrain! and make sure you follow the procedures exactly. unless everything is bone stock, then just go with stock. i'm assuming the 1.6 ratio is aftermarket?

the 416 heads are not stock, and the 1.6 rokers are aftermarket
the stock heads are 3927185 1968-76 307-327-350 70cc chamber
oh and i do have a comp-cams length checker, im just lazy

soo...?

Check it yourself. There can be lots of variables that will affect what length you will need.
