These regular cars have very little value, do an engine swap. You can keep the original motor under the bench, if you want. The 267 is a dog, my BIL had two 81's both with the 267, one for parts. His plan was to buy a 400 hp 350 from GM with warranty but he sold them both. Honestly since GM Canada bastardized these from the factory, get one from them with a warranty. Of course sbc cores sell for nothing now thanks to the LS, so you can find them all over the place.

Swindells how much do you know about subwoofers? Can you recommend me one?

Sorry for being off topic. I'm looking for a good sub for my truck and can't wrap my head around which would suit me best.

Do I need to spend over $1000 to get some decent sound? I've been reading the reviews all over the internet and I didn't get closer to finding a solution. Plus most reviews are hype. Blatant copy of manufacturer's features that's it. Now I've found a different site which writes more on our language. Still there are 10 subs on the page and it's hard to choose. Read it subwoofers best of the best post. What I loved about the reviews were that he highlights many negatives. Best of all they are not watered down.

What are the most important things when you're looking for a sub? Any tips?

Both my vehicles are running 1200 rms amplifiers with 2 12” 500rms subs
Basically, the higher the rms, the more thump you’re going to get in the end
So if you’re looking to have that hip hop track flick a girls bean next to you when it hits

go big or go home
😂

Permanent Temporary
The 267 will physically fit an aftermarket 4-barrel intake, but the cam and heads won't be able to use that much fuel.

You can use some parts from the 267 if you're on a budget in the motor department. Crankshaft, rods, oil pan, timing cover, distributor and flexplate are the same as a pre-1986 350.

Canukistan = AKA: Canada divided by bramptons primary south & west asian population ( and an abnormally high concentration of newfies ).

I assumed the term referred to the Socialist nature of our country. Funny American's thinking Communism is the same as Socialism. Dump the 267, sbc 350's are everywhere for sale, for cheap. The 267 adds 0 value, 0.

with all the other mods you have why do you want to keep it original looking under the hood?

As said, build or buy a better engine. Keeping that car original will only hurt its value to almost anybody.
