Thats exactly what he was saying to lock it up on the highway in hand will give you lower rpms on the highway for better MPG and to cut it off when on the street. But can this be done with any 700r4? He made it sound like its a limited number of them that you could do this with.

I think it can be done with all of them. There are lock up kits I believe that let you control it manually.

I would think you can fetch at least 500-700 for that transmission.....Good luck with the sale, sounds like it's built right 8)

yes it can. i even tricked mine out and since the car did not have cruise i went and got a cruise t/s handle and wired the lock up to the on/off of the cruise switch

hey man give me a price on the transmission, i can have a guy pick it up, or i can come an get it, but need a price, so whats the tag???

PMed

all 700's can be setup for manual lockup as NONE of them are computer controlled. the 4l60E was a computer controlled trans with the same overall design as the 700.
the computer, in say a 90's 'bird or g-body does control lockup, but not the trans itself. the 4l60E is fully computer controlled, from shift points/timing to line pressure/feel

Well I tried to send a PM, don't think it went trough. Was thinking of making the starting price $1000. But not gonna waste forum members' time. $600 takes it away.

CAPERKEV I tried sending u an inbox twice, but don't think it went through. I want $600, or make an offer.

The sooner the better. Because if it's not gone it the next couple days, I have to drag it into my basement. And I really don't want to have to do that lol.

I'm not out to make money on this, just want it out of here. My cost was $600 for the parts, just putting that out there lol.

you want 6, will ya take 5???? if so, i can come to the hat around end of month, let me know if that works??
