What's your winter beater?

I have a 2004 Grand Cherokee special edition with the quadra trac II but don't let that impress you, it's got the right front and left rear as the drive wheels.

I always liked the non-Wrangler Jeeps and wanted to get into them. I had the opportunity to buy a Grand Cherokee a couple times and never took it. Maybe someday.

'99 Buick Century.
She's used & abused and the tape deck doesn't work, but she's a good ol' gal. Complete with spray painted taillights and AWD S10 trim rings. Had to" cut the rockers off because they were rusted to hell. More flat black spray paint. Excuse the picture quality of my 30 dollar phone.

I love GM W-bodies! Actually just bought my grandfather a "new" 2006 Buick Lacrosse to replace his 1994 LeSabre that literally rusted in half. They are great, underrated little cars.

I have a '98 Grand Cherokee Laredo as my winter beater. Like all Jeeps with some age on them, it has a list of issues that I am slowly getting ahead of but it has a dead reliable 4.0 and the sought after NP242 transfer case.

If you wanted to get into a Jeep cheaply, a ZJ or WJ Grand Cherokee or an XJ Cherokee is a great way to go.

94 GMC Suburban K1500, 320,000kms use it for towing and winter, oil lines deleted after they blew 15 miles from home and drove it home with no oil and it still running strong, got caught in Calgary in a freak snow storm where it dropped 8 inches of snow in 2 hours, had trailer on and end up in ditch, put in 4x4 an out she came with no damage. Only repairs l've done are normal maintenance and a fuel tank.

It's been loyal to me so it will live as long as l do no matter what the cost!! Screenshot_20171218-000951.png

I've been driving my daughter's Neon for work this winter. It does pretty well in the snow but I had to chain it up going over Whitebird pass last week. My job has me covering a lot of miles and this stupid little car is perfect for that at 38-40 MPG. Not bad for having 250k+ miles on it. I have to give it back and find a replacement in June.
