Wheel Spacers

I think I know why this is happening...
is there a chamfer/round on the hub center hole of the spacer on the mounting side? It's probably interfering with the fillet on the wheel hub tower of the car.
 
ok, I stand corrected... there is a chamfer... The next thing I would check is the studs on your car, if their heads(spline area) sticks up past the mounting surface.
 
nope... don't even try running them unless they sh*t flush against the hub and are properly seated and clamped.
 
I'm afraid sanding could affect the centric features of the spacers... using a lathe would be the proper method, but costly... I'd say return them, remeasure your hubs, and use spacers you know will fit.
