Should be able to run 15x8 with 4.5" backspacing with no problems, and running a 235/60R15 tire should keep the speedometer accurate.
Yeah, this is what I have on my Elco. I'd recommend going with the same tire size all around so you can rotate them out and get your money's worth. 235/60-15 is a good size but it'll fit on a 15X7 better than a 15x8

Sounds really good. With a 15x7, you can go with backspacing between 4.0"-4.5" and be in good shape. No fender rub, speedo will be fine, etc.

Good luck and post some pics with 'em on the car.

Your choice of tire size should be good. It may cause your speedometer to read a hair lower than your actual speed but not by enough to worry about it. Your tire height should only be about half an inch taller.

For future reference if you want to know how to calculate your tire height (Sorry if you already know this)

I will assume you have stock G-Body 195/75/14

Formula = rim ht. + ((Tire Width in millimeters / 25.4) x tire profile x 2)
or 14" + ((195 /25.4) x 75% x2 )
= 14"+ 11.5" or 25.5" total tire height

Your 235/60/15s would be 26.1" using the same formula.
15" + ((235 / 25.4) x 60% x 2)
