I run my MSD box where the vapor canister used to be on the fender well.
Gets lots of air movement there to keep it cool.

if you want to put yours in that spot then just put the battery in the trunk. I'm putting my battery in the trunk to get rid of some weight up front. If you want to know where my MSD box is it ended up in the garbage after it left me stranded when I was running it with an HEI. You're ok tho with the e-curve distributor since with a little rewiring and you're back on the road.

Here's mine with some pictures the 7AL-3 and the noise filter are mounted to the glove box door, I removed the plastic cover under the glovebox door for ventilation. My adjustable timing computer is hidden in the pass. kick panel.
I have had these components in the same location for 10 years without even the slightest problem.

No interferance at all, I have a very large MSD noise filter wired in line before it enters the 7AL-3 it is just to right of it on the glovebox door. It's that round blue thingy :D

very nice and toggle switch for the power line would be a nice anti theft feature cause who would think you had the box in there

They would have to break into the trunk first just to turn the power on for the car. I also do have what would be considered an ignition kill switch on the drivers side, I would flip it on after I would get my previous high compression 555BBC cranking it solved the kickback broken flexplate teeth syndrome.

Mine was originally mounted on the heater/ac delete panel but when I had to sit and idle for a long peroid of time it would get hot and shut off. I ended up just putting it on the inside of the car still attached to the delete panel.

So I really liked where Blake mounted his box except that's where my battery is. So i decided to put mine on the other side. Only problem is there is a round indentation where the charcoal canister used to be. So i broke out some sheet metal and grinder and made a cover/mounting plate. I think it turned out well. Don't mind the dist and dirt as its not finished. All in all i think it is a pretty clean setup.
