Ok peeps, my car is a street rod with a SBC. I have a 750 Holley with a mechanical secondary on right now but for some reason I think it may be to much carb. I was thinking of going with a 600 with a vaccum secondary or a 650. It is not a race car, just a cruiser. Which would give me waht I am looking for?

well if your good with carbs and my memory serves me correctly. All you should have to do is change the main body on that holley. I think the throttle plate metering blocks and bowls are exactly the same.

Got more specs on the engine? If it's pretty tame, I'd recommend a Q-jet. Second choice would be a Holley 600 vacuum secondary. The Edelbrock 600/Carter 625 is pretty flexible too.

i say a holley 650 double pumper but thats me, it is gonna suit you much better for performance, even for a cruiser. i wont ever buy another edelbrock, they are great carbs and easy to tune but after using holleys i wouldnt buy anything else based on the performace side of it.
