Which air intake tubing / filter are you guys going with? I am looking to route the intake towards the front passenger side where the battery used to be, trying to see what will fit. I have an LM7 5.3 with I believe an 85MM MAF, and the factory 78mm TB. in my 86 Monte Carlo SS

Where do you guys buy your couplers / piping?
Share any pics of your setup if you can.

Thanks

I went the other direction, towards the driver's side. I bought an intake kit on Amazon and that had most of the tubing. The other fittings and clamps I got on siliconeintakes.com. I welded a small homemade bracket to the frame to support the whole deal. I also eliminated the MAF for speed density tune.

Is your engine on solid mounts?

I'm on poly clam shells too. So if your engine moves on the mount AND you have the piping rigidly mounted to the frame. Is the tubing flexing?
The tubing flexes alright. Silicone flexes like nobody's business. The tubing from the throttle to the 90 degree bend is flexy silicone. The 90 is also silicone. The only rigid piece is that middle section where the IAT sensor is.
