i just started working on an engine finally to get back to the gbody scene. im trying to figure out what kind of aftermarket oil pan has been used for a 3rd gen 350 also known as the center bolt head sbc without it being in the way of anything. :blam: :blam: i believe these blocks are a 1 piece rear seal and just want to know what will fit my application without having any problems of the oil pan hitting anything. brand and possibly part number would be appreciated.

I would go with a jegs oil. You could easy get one from there or visit one of you local performance shops and ask them to orde you one. Your f bodies....caprice.....had one seals and you could those..those are 86 on up.Just make sure the dip stick is on he same side as your block

And fyi it is still a 1st gen 350. 2nd gen was the LT1, and 3rd gen started with the LS1.

@SmoknMali thanks that was useful info. Already made my purchase. Thanks!!
@jrm81bu youre right! i figured that out as well when i was searching oil pans, i thought it was a 3rd gen because when i search the block casting number that info came up on a forum. i guess what i really was looking for was if the engine was a 1 or 2 pc rear seal. Thanks.
