Back in the day there seemed to be more brand choices of these particular sized tires..
Now it seems that you're limited to a just a few brands.
Cooper does make tires under different brand designations.
For instance, Futura tires are allegedly supposed to be pretty decent tires. I really didn't care for the tread design.

Well that sucks, they are about the only nice looking 14" tire with any variety of sizes and white lettering. They aren't the best handling tire but their open thread was actually useable in winter.

Michelin = :puke:

Never like them.

No more drag radials

I see Coker Tire picked up some of the discontinued BF sizes.

I haven't run this style of BFG tire in nearly two decades. I have 235/60-15 Cooper Cobras all around on my Grand Prix. I chose the Coopers over the BFGs (and Hankooks) simply because the Coopers have a T speed rating compared to the S speed rating of the other two models. Sure, it's only another 6 MPH... but I'll always take the highest rating I can get (unless I am positive the car cannot achieve that speed).

BFGs have a reputation for wearing quickly, the coopers are harder and wear longer, at the expense of traction, especially in wet conditions.

My experience seems to validate this. If the road is wet, I cannot even breathe on the gas pedal when stepping off from a red light. If I do, I'll get wheelspin.

Seems like Cokers prices are a bit steep compare to regular retail prices. FYI, a bit of Cokers tires are made in Indiana, Pa at Specialty Tires of America (former McCreary Tire & Rubber, sister company to American Racer .)

Yes the Coker's are pricey.

Thanks for everyone's input. Hard to believe but the cheaper Cooper may be a better tire by a small margin.

I went cooper cobras for my wagon.

I had a set of BFG traction TA's that I really liked but they got dropped of course.

Coopers are available through discount tire on Ebay with a rebate often. 235/60/15 I just bought a set for $420, 70 rebate, free shipping. 350 for 4 tires to the door is pretty good!

I stayed away from BFG radial TA because they look straight out of 1985 and I don't think have been updated since. And EVERY crager wheeled 60ish chevelle, camaro, mustang, ect has them. And coopers are a bit less.
