I run Mastercrafts. Avenger GTs on the red car and MC440s on the Bonneville. The MC440s are cheap, and pretty well suck in the rain. Since its my daily, I'll probably step up next time.

I've got the Mickey Thompson ST, they do have better traction than my 12 year old BFG's, but the Mickey's aren't as good looking. They are 1" narrower than the BFG's. That was (and still is) disappointing when I look at my car, I was watching this thread, as I'm not sure what I'll buy next.

I have had the T/As, though it's been a long time, I'll never buy another set. I've had Cooper, though I don't recall if they were Cobras, I liked them - good tire wear, good traction and quiet. My last 3 sets have been Dunlop Signature, good wear, traction and quiet. They are now Signature II, with a slight difference in tread design...so far I'm A-OK with them, but I haven't put a lot of miles on the Signature II yet.

I run the higher performance Pirelli P-Zero Nero's on my G-body as well as on my GT daily driver… In the winter while my G-body sleeps, I run the Blizzack WS80's on my daily driver. I've found that 245/45/17 work out pretty darn good for the G body...

I'm looking for 235/60/15 for the front and 245/60/15 for the rear.
The choice I have is BF Goodrich TA or Cooper Cobra. The asking price is fairly close to each other within 5%.
So I am guessing this is a local store that only carries these two brand tires in the sizes you listed, I know for me near Detroit Discount Tire only carries those brands for those sizes.
The Cobra's here are about $50 a tire cheaper than the BF Goodrich.

I always went with BF Goodrich TA's. This time ( to save $100) I went with Cooper Cobras. The tread pattern was close to the BF's, and my tire guy said they performed just as good. So far, I love them but only have about 100 miles off drive time on them as of today.

An observation of tread width GoodYear Eagle II vs Cooper Cobra
> tread is almost identical in width - 215 GY's to 235 Coopers
>tread is 1" wider on the 245 Coopers when compared to GY's 215

To summarize - the Cooper Cobras are fatter around the middle...
