which trans?

Hello everyone. I have a 88 Cutlass 307/4 speed auto. Which trans is it 700r4,200r4? The problem I am having is I switched from Idiot light gauges to the ralley gauges (from a 84 to 86 442 not sure). Now my speedo is off 5 miles per hour, at 45 it says I'm going 50. I need to change the gear in the trans speedo housing. Next question is, are these still obtainable thru the GM dealer or where is the best plac to get them?

most likely it's a 2004r, Can't help you on the speedo gear though.

what size tires do you have

I have 235/60-14. Just had them put on yesterday. It had 215/70-14. There is just over a 1/2 in difference. But it was off with the 215's as well. Before I swapped the cluster it seemed to be pretty close with my GPS...
