OMG we have a lot of those in my city. But there are quite a few that are actually untouchable light to light. There's at least 5 that I know of, big diesel 4x4s that have over $100000 into them (we have a lot of rich oil field workers here). But I gotta admit it's funny seeing a new Vette getting smoked by what looks like a big huge slow truck.

Lol, i would hope that trucks with that much money in them would be legit! The dudes around here don't have any money, especially after they spend it all to fix what they break!

Yeah from what I hear they are built right. But I hear the transmission shops love these guys, keep breaking them lol.

Sediments?
Anyway, I don't put down the hot rod urge the kids have working on their imports, as mentioned, we did stupid stuff like drilling holes in mufflers to make them louder, building cheap shackles to jack up the rear, all that stuff. The problem I have is endemic to the situation of how imports especially Asian imports were allowed to skirt the higher tariffs that their countries charged us to export products to them, how they were allowed to dump steel and cars as well as appliances on our market, at a loss, with backing from their governments in order to build market share, all of which were illegal but ignored by our government for years. Those are the things I see as wrong. the kids are just working on what they have, same as we did.
yeah...walmart had nothing to do with it.... :blam:

Anything done in excess or out of context is probably going to get it's fair share of criticism. I have a pretty broad range of vehicles and can honestly say every niche has it's offenders. I don't hate imports at all -- in fact, I have 3 early '70s Datsuns right now. I do chuckle when I see something this though:

That is really sad to see another 3rd generation accord molested like that. My DD is a 1989 Accord hatchback, yes its an import, gets me A to B , for a 20 y/o car it gets 29 mpg+, and allows me to put more money into my 86 cutlass. Regardless import or not i bought this car for $1000 with 57k on it. was garage kept the last 20 years and only serviced at the dealership. Not to mention every "ricer" thinks my car is a toyota for some reason.

They probably think that because it's the spitting image of a Toyota...

most likely thats what it is being mistaken for , that or an old corolla hatchback. I wouldn't mind having the supra , being RWD at least. I am not fond of FWD in snow and rain.

WHAT?
FWD is much better in the snow and rain...traction is much better because the weight of the engine is over the drive wheels, every honda Ive owned would go in the snow just fine....just try driving my 93 T-Bird anywhere when its snowing....totally useless!
