I built my 83' Monte into a pro street car and I have been questioned why would you use that car why not something from the 70's etc.
And I have been to car shows parked next to my buddies 69' 598 BBC powered Nova and had crowds admire both our cars and crowds that have walked by mine like my car was an empty parking spot.
The point is you build the car for you and if others like then "Yeah" and if not oh well you didn't build it for them anyways, it can't always be a thumbs up.
