Steve's an outdoorsman, so I wouldn't be surprised if he pulls his car over on the side of the road to warm up a snack on his engine, or exhaust manifolds. 😛You meat 'roasting' on the exhaust manifold, right Steve? 😆

I do remember an episode of the Pickers. Frank was heating up a taco or something on the engine of the truck. I don't find anything wrong with it. It's being resourceful. We don't all carry camp stoves with us on a regular basis. What, pre tell, is wrong with that? I mean, if you cook the 'possum off the road on the engine, that's one thing, but beating up some soup is just resourceful.
I think it's a good idea. My plan was to replace the connector with a weatherpack.
It is already a fused circuitEver thought of putting a mega fuse inline with the red wire for the A/C?
Just think of that being a secondary protection since it seems to be a regular thing I've seen over the years. Mine cooked the connector too.It is already a fused circuit
