Will 17inch rims fit

I am thinking about buy a set of 17inch rims, but I want to know if they will fit without having to lift my car.
1979 Cutlass Calais

17x7/17x9 Wheels Rims
Tires 215/50ZR17-275/40ZR17

17x7" wheels: 0mm offset (4.00" backspacing) 1" Lip Size
17x9" wheels: 0mm offset (5.00" backspacing) 2 1/2" Lip Size

Those tires are only 25.66" in diameter. Stock sizes are close to 26" so no, you definitely won't need to lift the car for clearance.

One thing I would look at is the front wheel and tire size. They are pretty small. I'd go with at a minimum a 17x8 rim with at least a 245/45R17 tire.
