I got 2 ,255-60-15 s for the rear of my 79 Malibu .the car is raised some currently it has 205 -70-15 now on it. Will 255 s be too fat also they are triple reversed I'm afraid they maybe be to fat or stick out ... Can any one help ? Haven't had chance to fit them yet ..

255/60 should fit fine. I have Cragar ss 15x8's on the car now with 295/50/15 on the rear.

Will the triple reverse part effect anything? There back space seems shallow . But thanks

do you know the backspacing?

you want to run a straight edge across the back of the rim and then off of the straight edge you measure the depth of the mounting area ..probably a better word for it..lol

i'd like to see a pic of the 295/50/15 if you got it.. what backspacing are you running? i want to go with 295/50 next time around instead of the 275/60 i'm currently running.

Here's a pic with the 295/50/15. They are 15x8 with 4.25 bs. I had to run a 1/4 inch spacer. You could do the same or use a 4 inch bs wheel. They're bfg tires, which actually run a lil wider when compared to other tires I've had over the years of the same stated size.

Ok guys unless I measured wrong which I doubt lol I'm not that stupid backs pacing was 2 and 1/2 . I took. Straight edge and measured from it to the rim ,the part where the lug nut is . Like I said there universal lug and triple reversed hope they fit . Also I bought a set of keystone klassics there 14 by 7 I think the backspace on them looks bigger but measured 2.5 also
