I'm getting rid of the metal windshield and rear window molding and am replacing it with rubber molding that will sit flush to to the window and the roof line. I have seen it on an A body but I havn't found who makes it. The straight areas are easy enough to find something that will fit but the contour around the corners of the windows will cause the molding to buckle. Have any of you guys done this or know who makes that molding.

Thanks for any suggestions....

Either just make some pie cuts in the rubber molding for around the corners, or just use 3 separate pieces and use a big glob of adhesive in the corners to keep them down.

The heat gun is your friend to help get the stuff to lay down around the corners too if it wants to try and lift up.

I've never done it for a G-body, but that's what we did for a couple cars ('39 Dodge & a '39 Chevy) that we chopped the roofs on at work and had to make our own seals for.

I saw it on a 68 Nova dragster in a local shop and it looked great cause it was nice and tight and smooth around the whole windshield so I know it was made for the car but I never met the owner. It looks so much neater than the ugly metal molding that sits on top of the front and back windshields. Thanks for the suggestions and I might pick up some rubber molding just to test it to see if I can form it to go around the corners.....
