I'm looking for a used wiper motor for my 88 cutlass 307.. every site I check online is asking me if its a 2- or a 3-wire armature..? I've been cross-referencing online but can't seem to find anything. Is that just describing how many wires connect to the wiper motor?

You need an '82 up wiper motor with delay or non-delay. What's currently in your car? You can then narrow down your search.
Have you considered just getting a reman'd unit?

I'm fine with remanufactured, I'd prefer that actually. And there is isn't as much in the junkyards as you would think here in NJ. I've been trying for weeks now. But everywhere keeps asking for that 2 or 3 wire armature. I know I have delay.

As far as I'm concerned, the armatures are the same regardless. Do you have pulse or delay wipers...or non-delay?
It should be as easy as that. The delay system has an extra little circuit board to create the delay function, and a non-delay system excludes the circuit board.
Do you know what system your car has?

Worse comes to worse, you can always purchase a used one from a fellow member parting out a G-body in your year range.
