wire wheels on Ebay

I had a set of 14x7 100 spoke chrome with a bullet knockoff. They were pretty nice rims not the quality og original daytons are known for. But for the price they are good. I am thinking of buying some again but in a 17 or 18 inch this time. Maybe 20's

You can get those wire wheels direct from the manufacturer for cheaper at www.ogrimsdirect.com They also offer any clor/gold/chrome combinations. As far as quality, they're worth their price and i've owned quite a few sets of them. If you live in a climate where they salt the roads or have cold winters, then they WILL RUST. They are just cheap china made wheels and are not comparable to Daytons. Daytons come in 72/96/100 spoke and have stainless steel spokes/nipples so no rust. The chrome plating is far superior and thier gold is actual 24K. They are priced a bit higher than cheap china wheels but you get what you pay for. Wires just went up from $65 to $105 per wheel a couple weeks ago 😢

With that said, out of about 30 "china" made wire wheels i've owned from luxor, og, l.a. wires, etc.....i've only had 1 that developed loose spokes and 1 that some of the spokes broke on.

Be sure to use the proper open ended lug nuts, a lead hammer, and to install the adapters on the correct sides. Check this out for info on how to properly install knockoff wire wheels.

Very helpful man, thanks. I do live in a salty state, Massachusetts. This is going to be a nice day car only when I am done and will be garaged when I am not using it.

Could you tell me what will Fit on a 1982 Regal if I box the frame?

I don't know rims, I can rebuild an engine but rims, nothing. They talk about reverse offset, standard offset, don't know which one I need.

I know I want 15x8 rims. I forgot what the bolt pattern is. I want the large spokes orange and the small spokes lime green. I was thinking black nipples as I will have black paint on my car and the rest will be chrome.

Sound pretty good? After seeing the rims and I could pick my own color I will probably do a lime green pinstripe on my car too. I will wait to paint the car until I get my rims I guess, unless I hit the lottery that will not happen till June, lol.

One last thing, It comes with everything to put on the car except the hammer, correct? I am ordering right from the website you posted, which I think I seen Snoop Dogg.

It doesn't matter if you reinforce the frame with 3/16" or 1/4" plate, run 13 x 7 or 14 x 7 and the wheels will still fit. You want reverse offset(deep dish) wheels. Bolt pattern on g-body's is 5 x 4.75". I run 13's on 155/80 13 tires with no problems what so ever and tires are only $20/each 😀 . 15's in my opinion are way too big if you're looking to turn the car into a lowrider. Can't get 15" tires with a skinny whitewall either and 8" wide may cause some clearance issues, especially once the car is lowered. It would also stick out.

You could always wait to buy the wheels and just send them a color sample of the paint after you have the car painted so they can match the wheels to your paint. At least that's what i would do. If going with black/chrome wheels, then it doesn't really matter.

Here's how to order on the site http://s448.photobucket.com/albums/qq20 ... nt=og3.flv

When you get to the order page, you just select 2 left side and 2 right side so that you get a whole set. Then pick out your lug pattern and style of knockoffs. No hammer is included. For hexagon or diamond knockoffs, they're installed with a tool anyways.

Here's my old wires, 13" reverse offset all chrome with black straws on the front 50 spokes.

Why is it that "Gin and Juice" starts playing in my head every time I see a set of those? (I have it on my iPod for use in my Cutty...)

gin and juice is the sh*t man. The only rap I like is all the old stuff, none of this new crap.

Do the wheels stick out at all??? I like that look.

Nope, they don't stick out at all, don't rub, and no grinding/spacers are needed to bolt 13's on. Now if you're running caprice spindles/calipers, then you'd have to either do some grinding on the front caliper brackets or just run 14's since those rotors are larger(11").

Here's a topic with nothing but Regals(most all are on 13" or 14" wires just like mine.
