I installed a quick fuel slayer 750 carb with electric choke on my 85 cutlass. I wired the electric choke into the pink hot wire for the windshield wipers. I have 12 volts until I hook it up to the choke. I used a spade connector to hook it to the choke. Why am I not getting 12 Volts when I hook it up?

Most common cause would be a poor ground connection or the supply wire can not support the load. Other possibility is a bad choke coil that is drawing the voltage down.
why would you wire it into your wipers? There is a wire in the harness to power the choke.
Which wire is it? I thought any switched 12 volt would work. My car doesn't have wipers anyway
