got the bolts for the intake the headers and the heads today, now i just need fluids and a day to get it apart. YAY PROGRESS!

Fluids is what killed me last week, 12 qts trans fluid, 5 qts oil (x2 for start up), 2 oil filters, power steering fluid, & antifreeze - all costed over 200$ :shock:

yeah i cant believe how much transmission fluid has gone up,i servcied the transmission in my jeep wrangler,fluid was 4.69 a qt

Ya, that's the regular stuff too. I wanted to get B&M trick shift, but all the store had was the Hurst brand. Asked them why they didn't carry the B&M stuff and they (NAPA) said it was because they had it listed as the same part #. I'm thinkin they just stopped stocking B&M fluid, but the guy at the counter said it was because they were made by the same company :?

i dont need transmission fluid. i need coolant and engine oil.all im doing is taking off the carb, intake manifold, headers and heads. replacing the gaskets and getting the heads cleaned and checked. after that mess imma put it back together and get a new battery and run this b*tch! btw im drunk while responding to this. so after i get it running, check for the drainageand fix it. ok im drunk and tired and you ppl do the talking if you want.

well now im sober, so...yeah. well monday i have off and imma drain the coolant and the oil, and start tearing apart the motor topend and then if i have time drop em off at the machine shop to get checked and if needed new valve seats then after its all cleaned and if the ridge isnt too bad, slap it all together and leave some elevinseses.
