hello, thanks for reading. i am looking at doing a budget build. what i am looking at is beefing up the rear end. I have a 350 with a cam intake and headers. nothing crazy. i want to get 3.73 gears, a 28 spline posi unit and the 28 spline axles. This is only gonna see the street with possibly a run or two at the strip. I guess I am curious as to how much better are the 28 spline axles and what are the 26 spline axles capable of. doing the budget build looks like around 500-600 with upgrading to the 28 spline axles and significantly cheaper with keeping my 26 splines. I guess I am willing to keep the 26 spline axles but don't want to have to fix a broken rear end soon, or end up wanting to upgrade very soon. thank you for any help.
