Hi Jack. Just caught myself up on your thread. The wagon is looking fantastic. You've really accomplished a whole lot since my last visit. Paint looks awesome. Love the dash install. I'm kinda partial to that dash style. Your getting closer to Rollin down the road in that bad boy.

This is one of the projects I have planned for the pumpkin. As you can see, when the PO painted the car, they really went nuts and did the dash also. I got the carbon fiber last year but have other projects on the bucket list ahead of the dash.

Thank you for your kind words, Charlie.

Yeah, it looks like the PO went nuts with the orange paint. I love those Pontiac dashes.. They have a cool flair to them.
That's right, we haven't talked since before I painted the car. I hope I'll be cruising soon...even if it's with half of the interior installed.
I hope you're able to accomplish what you're set out to do. I still say it's a cool looking wagon. It will awesome with the carbon fiber on the dash surround.
One of our fellow members, (Liquidh8, Jim) had done his Pontiac dash the same way and it looks absolutely beautiful. I may still do mine the same way. I originally wanted to do it in engine turn, but it's a little too bright and would probably be too reflective.

Engine turn would be nice. The firebird\ta's had them.
I'm diggin your steelies and caps. That's exactly what I want to do. First on my long list is behind the tire exhaust and get rid of the out back crud.
What's your tire\rim combo size? I'm hoping to do a 7 front 8 rear and run 275\60\15 back, 215\70\15 front. The side wall on that combo is very close to same size.

I did like the engine turn on the dashes of Grand Prix's and early GTO's. I have a pic of one that was done that way, and it does look cool.
I've always been a fan of steelies and dog dish caps. My early recollections were back in the '60's on some sleeper Belairs and Biscaynes. I always dug the stealthy sleeper look.

As for tires sizes, I'm still undecided on that. I'll be running a set of 15 x 7 B-body steelies with probably a set of 235/60's all around...or something slightly smaller up front like a 215/65 x 15. Actually the 215/65's are very close in diameter to the 235/60's.
The 235/60's are naturally a bit wider. I'm thinking if I lower the car 2", I don't want the front tires to rub against the fender lips or wheel houses. I may still consider going with a 245/60 out back.
I would like to get a pair of 15 x 8's for the rear.

It sounds like you have your tire sizes figured out. I'd be careful with the 275/60's in the rear. You might find that it hits the frame rails....unless you go with a narrower backspace...like a 3.5, or maybe a 3.75", which still might be cutting it close.
A set of steelies with '70's Ventura dog dish caps would look pretty cool.

A friend of mine is considering the steelie look on his Cutlass Cruiser using a set of Omega caps.

Here's a few pics of the car I took today with my new tires and wheels.

Jack, I am loving it! Those bumpers look great too! I am going to have to wast some time I think and cut up my steel ones to see what I can get it to look like!

Thanks Jim,
I'm hoping to make some more progress now that spring is in the air. The paint isn't show quality, but I'm sure with some wet sanding and buffing it should look decent. It's going to be a driver.

Thanks Charlie!
I looked for that power steering pipe/ fitting for you, but they were chopped off pieces..a little too short. I think a junkyard trip might be the solution.

Thanks Jack, I assume this would be something a shop that makes hydraulic hoses could make for me. I need to have an a/c hose made up for my Blazer anyhow, so maybe I'll knock out two items on my long list at the same time.
I'm really diggin your wagon Jack. Love everything about it. The wheel/tire/cap combo is too cool, great job... As much work as you put into the bumpers they look better than stock, but I'm still not a fan of these bumpers. It's as if taillights were an after thought on the design table. Nothing personal, I have the same fugly bumpers also
If ever I were to actually do a build to my wagon(never will happen)I would graft in 66 gto lights into the bumper, or maybe some cougar taillights that go tic tic tic
