Hi guys I am about to buy 4 front GTA wheels, the guy who is selling them is telling me that the front ones are more deeper dish than the back :wtf: ? is that true guys?

and would all 4 front gta wheels fit my el co, My plans are to put a grand national rear end in the future ? would those all wheels still fit right?

any pic of how would the look on el co?

What do u guys think? would it look right one a gta wheels on El camino's?

From the outside the "fronts" and the "rears" will look the same(same dish). The backspace is different though. The "rears" use a larger backspace, and generally won't fit. The "fronts" have a smaller backspace and are more likely to fit. There is a small possibility that you will still need some thin spacers depending on tire size to get rid of any rubbing.

Actually the fronts and rear do look different. The fronts have a deeper dish to make room for either the brakes or outer tie rods and yes they will fit a G body. I was looking to buy some at one point but I couldn't find 4 fronts...

I am getting a set of 4 gta front's,, for 350 is that good deal?

that is a good deal....I have seen them go for over 100 a piece and to find 4 of the fronts is rare. Are they in good shape and do they come with the center cap?

A deeper dish on the backside would mean more baclspacing, but the fronts have less backspacing than the rears. Something don't add up on that one.

And from what I remember (granted this was with my Iroc's) there was no visual difference on the face of the rim.

a deeper dish means less backspacing...the hub sits closer to the inside of the rim...this is from a GTA site

"The GTA’s are marked “front” and “rear”.
Front offset:
Front backspacing: 4.75”
Rear offset
Rear backspacing: 5.25”

and from another site I found I was wrong with the reason of needing clearance in the front for the different wheels...

"The wheels were unique in that the rear ones were offset 16mm due to the rear axle width; the front rims were zero offset. "

so what r u trying to say that i need a spacer to use front gta wheels on the rear ???

I'm not saying you need a spacer....what Pontiac did was the rear end was wider than the front so to make the tire track width the same the offset the back wheels..there is no difference in the backspacing or offset in G body front to back wheels so you'll be alright with the 4 wheels with 4.75 backspacing

So basically i don't have to use a spacer right?
and can you please tell me what is the widest tires i could go on the rear and how wide should i got on the front??
i am looking to go way wide,, but not too much low profile tires
thank buddy
