Buy a vehicle that got a beatdown with an aluminum bat by a kid whose mom wanted to make a statement to her exhusband. The vehicle is a 1986 Cutlass 442 t-top. I saw the vehicle about less than a year ago and have been wanting to buy it from her but figured I'd wait til her neighbor (a friend of mine) told me that she was ready to sell it. Apparently her ex pissed her off and I just got the news that the car got dented all up by her 13 year old son and an aluminum bat (hope he swung like a girl). I'll swing by tomorrow evening to view it and see if it's even worth buying. 🙁

If nothing else, keep in mind that rear end is worth about $800+. Score it dirt cheap, and part it out if you can't fix it.

well my friend said that she was planning to sell it to the junkyard this week for 100, i'll go there immediately when he gets home so that we can go to his neighbor's home and view the vehicle. i'll take pics and post them up. 🙁

it was a clean car, ugh.

GIVE HER $200!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When you consider all of the parts that likely are still good, it is worth trying to buy it if the price is right. The rear axle alone makes it worth trying to get it, let alone the good trans (442 trans is better than common 200 4R's), the bucket seat and console interior, quick ratio steering box, sway bars, etc.

It was too dark to take a pic of the vehicle but there's a possibility that i'll be buying it. Talked with a friend who does resto's on vehicles and said the best bet would be to take the shell off and transfer everything onto another shell but keep the drivetrain/frame all intact. That will be the route i'll take and also cut the t-top section off and weld onto the donor car.
