Update on this:

Still waiting on the ladies husband to drive up to her house to view what she did to the car and after that, she'll call me to pick it up.

I was speaking to a friend about ditching the body shell and dropping a regal shell on it but salvaging the t-top frame and interior and welding it to the regal shell. Is that possible? I have never measured a cutlass roof compared to a regal roof.

Not as easy as it sounds. Good freind did it to his 442 when his orig car got hit in the PS Door which wrote it off. Moved the running gear and the T-Bar roof over to the doner car and there was a lot of re-inforcing on the T-Bar roof that needed to addressed.

I prefer hard-top cars myself, all but 1 t-top car I have been in rattled, leaked and drove me crazy.

Regarding your question; the windshields are the same but I beleive the rear windows are different. Suppose you could cut and paste the T-Top section in if you wanted.

This ride is in houston, you got to know folks in order to find deals. I deal with the lowrider community, rat rod, oldies, etc... I'll invite you over when I get it home so you can check it out. You could have just called me and I can take you to go view it instead of posting about it being "bullshit"

You'd be surprised of the deals i go through and flip for more cash. Also got good bank to play around with when it comes to picking up rides. :wink:

We were talking about cutting from where the vinyl top areas of g-bodies (even though this one doesn't have one but to let you know where) to the front pillars of the windshield. If it's not worth the time than I'll just scrap that whole shell and just use the frame/engine/rear end for a regal since cutlass' aren't my cup of tea.

whatever i don't use off both cars you are welcome to have free since i'll scrapyard what's left. all work will be done at a friends house in pearland off bw-8 area.

i need to find a regal shell or with motor, running or not. only thing i'll use from it is the body and would ditch the seats and frame + motor. as far as the cutlass i'll keep the interior and parts, drivetrain and frame, even the t-top stuff in storage and ditch the body. i'll call you as soon as we get it all set.
